Is it ok to take seperate prenatals?

I'm new to TTC, well we are waiting to TTC at the moment. One of my friends is pregnant (due Christmas week) with baby #1. Before joining PF, she was my go to person for all my TTC questions. She told me that it's okay to take seperate prenatals instead of say the likes of pregnacare etc. It would be less expensive to go into boots and pick up the supplements there. B would have got her advice from a medical professional. Her and her DH have had trouble TTC (took 4 years in total).

Well I was content popping my pills each day, but have been given conflicting advice from an American friend saying I really should be taking a single prenatal as in pregnacare.

I don't know tbh, I took pregnacare but if you are looking for something more cost effective you could try own brand products. The thing with pregnacare etc is that you know they've got the balance just right x

I think I'll do the sane, Fae - as in switch to pregnacare once I've finished all the separates.
