Hi I give lo a bottle of ready to feed formula at night but she doesn't drink it all at once and I have been reheating it after about 10/15 mins when it goes a bit cold. Is this ok or should I not really be doing this? Many thanks, Sarah

Instructions will tell you you shouldn't be doing it.

Real life... Eh.

DS would take it straight out the fridge if I'd let him, and was perfectly happy at room temp so it was never really an issue I had.

I wouldn't get too hung up on it, I'm sure it's ok. I've done it on occasion x

I'd imagine it will increase bacteria growth, but if you're giving ready milk at night why not just leave it at room temp? I never warmed up ready milk unless it's out of the fridge and my little boy does not like it warmed up either.

If that's the case I would be giving it in a smaller amount instead of reheating it

I agree it could breed more bacteria but room temp is fine anyway, also don't use the microwave to rehat (not sure how you are doing it) as this can create pockets of heat so she might scold herself.

Okay thanks everyone, I just use a bottle warmer as she seems to like it quite warm, couldn't get her to drink it straight from the bottle!

Everything in stages.

Do you have/can you get a food thermometer? Heat to a couple degrees less each time. See how low you can get it. Hopefully that will get you to room temp over a couple days and then the reheat issue stops being a problem altogether.

I used to re heat formula (not the ready made stuff though) and never gave it a second thought! I didn't do it all the time but on occasion! My lo was always fine x
