lolas thats longer normally people shorten names.

caitlyns name was chosen cos A we loved it and B because of how it can be shortened

Maybe just say could you please call her Lola

We occasionally shorten Willow to Wills, but only in a jokey way. Once my mum called her Willy and I cracked up completely. I also hate it when people ask what her name is and think I've said "William". Tbh I don't mind throwing out a nickname the odd time, but she was named Willow for a reason

Seems that there are quite a lot of girls who doesnt like thei LO's be called other names then they are.

Girls, I think, if you dont like it, why dont you just tell it!? How on earth anybody can know that you dont like it, if you dont say it?!

I think most of the problems come from not talking... Im in campaign for expressing what you think and not to be quiet

My DD is called Amelia. When she was born we said it could be shortened to Mia. Me & DH call her Minky, Minky Moo & quite often I just call her Moo but what really p*ses me off is when SIL calls her Minky. It's our name for her so I always make a point of correcting her when she does it. She's not so bad now so it must have worked!

My daughter Lucy gets called Lu, Lu lu , Looby, Mooey, Moo, Juicy, allsorts! I dont mind! If shes ok with it then I'am!

I don't mind it at all in fact it's me that does it more then anyone.
I call her Sums, Summmys, Summer drummer the guitar strummer, Summer sunshine.
She has got loads of nick names

I dont think i really call her by her proper name yet she tends to be called babee or darling or all other sickening pet names!!!

I've heard some people call her Tal which i'm not keen on, and someone commented on the fact you could lenghten it to Tallyban (not funny) and every now and then we call her Tallyho.

I HATE it when Dave calls her smelly or other names like that, not really sure why cos he only does it when she does actually smell lol.
