Well im six months and a bit pregnant..and im massive..not big but massive..people are thinking that im going to pop next month..well here it goes alot of people are tellling me that i can have a premature birth cos my uterus cannot handle that kind of weight..Is it true because im quite worried? My mum was quite big when she had me so it might run in the family..midwife said that im very big because of my height ( 5 feet ) and baby seems only slightly larger than normal..

You might just be carrying alot of water hun. Take no notice, I dont think how big you are has anything to do with when babys going to come.

It only would if you have a drastically more amount of water. Like Dionne, who measure 6 weeks bigger than she should of, hence she gave birth at 35 weeks because her uturus measured 41. What are your fundus measurements?

You may look bigger if you're only small.

I got sick of everyone telling me I'd never make it to full term (I'm 5' 1" and carried big). Stanley was a week over and only 7lb 2oz!

People (especially women) seem to forget how big pregnant women are, please don't let them bother you unless a medical professional seems concerned about your baby's size.

Minxy is true, forgot to say people said I was absolutely HUGE, and in fact, I measured nearly 4 weeks too small and got sent for a growth scan by the hospital consultant!

Size isn't everything hun

ive been wondering this too, im really big too hunny have a look at piccys of my bump in 2nd tri bump pictures, im huge, you'd thought i was due at any moment...

I was big early on with Aimee, i went massive and people were asking when i was due, its embarrasing saying 4 months. I didn't really go that much bigger after that though. I'm only 5ft 4inchs but i have long legs and a short body so i think thats why. I'm only 24 weeks now and already can feel baby kick really high up and am getting short of breath.

Well I'm only 5ft and I had a huge bump I was big and it felt like he weighed a tonne, i went 9 days over and had a 9lb 12oz baby boy!

The midwife told me I was carrying alot of water!!!! nah it was all baby!!!

So just be careful as you could be very surprised by the outome
But all pregnancys are different!

im expecting a big baby!!! :(

my sister had a baby in july, it was her first baby, as this is mine, and he was only a week overdue weighing in at a whopping 10lb2oz!!!!

god help my lulu ;)

Everyone who knew me told me I was huge and thought I'd give birth early, yet my MW said baby was a 'nice size' - probably on the petite side. I think these people just wanted to feel involved somehow.

She was born a few days early and was 7lb 8oz - bang on average!

I agree with Minxy - people generally haven't got a clue so don't worry about it - just listen to the medical professionals.

Thanks and this certainly put my mind at rest..i cant believe people are evil sometimes..well midwife is not concerned and when i went for scans everything was fine..fundus height at 23 weeks ( now im 25 )FH132-158, I do not know what it means but midwife did not comment anything on it

It means that your baby's heart is beating at 132 - 158 beats per minute.

Don't worry, i'm ginourmous, and i'm getting sent for a scan thursday because the midwife measured me at 45cm then 41 cm then 39 cm when she really squashed it down and i'm not ven 39 weeks yet, and she said the baby feels big too...if it was that much to worry about they would of sent me on that day or sometime closer, same with your midwife, if there was anything to worry about she would know.

I was ENORMOUS.....yet my little one didn't want to come out.
I got to 42 weeks and had to be induced, and even then she didn't want to come out - she came out at 42 weeks and 4 days.

And she weighed 10lbs 10oz!!!

So trust me you don't need to worry ;)

ETA: I've just seen you're 25 weeks, so I've fished out a photo from when I was 25 weeks.

If you're not bigger than that, then you don't need to panic lol!
