if they dont have kids or arent the type to go bed this early then i would hoover away as them probably wont even notice but they may notice if they are all in bed. i used to have a neighbour who used to do it at 3am and you could hear it banging against the skirting board my neighbours are extremely deaf tho so i get away with loads of noise.

done it no they havent got kids, and they go to bed quite late. I got a major urge to start chucking things out I think Il save that until tommorrow then! Hopefully it'll have passed by then...

my old neighbours used to hoover and do diy at 3am too but 9.30 is ok, i hoover in evening but no later then 10pm
