PKU. I know there's been another thread...
But I'm getting really infuriated watching it. Sorry. But I have to vent somewhere.
This is all just my opinion.
How dare they declare the formula fed babies def don't bond withtheir mothers the way breast fed babies do.
I'm sorry. But in my opinion, this is bollocks. I couldn't be any closer to either of my children. And this really bothers me. The IQ thing. Again. Sorry. Don't believe it. All coincidental. I know ppl who were breast fed... Who really are not all there!!!
I was not breast fed... But was invited to sit the test for Mensa.
The health benefits. Yeah fine, I get that. But the emotional stuff. I'm sorry, it jsyseems very judgemental.
Am I defensive? Yes very. Do I feel guilty, yeah.
Did I do what's right for us? Hell yes.
I don't know I guess it's because I'm on the defensive. But it really bothered me x

i dont feel guilty one bit for not breast feeding J for longer. I did it for 3 weeks and cried most of the time and im all for happy mum happy baby. My fb status atm is bfind gives me the eebie jeebies and it does. For the women that it works and clicks for then they should be proud of themselves and happy etc but i get really offended when i see on programmes that oyur bond with your baby is better if you bf. i think its a ridiculous comment!! again no ofence to bfeeders or anyone else as its all personal opinion etc and thats mine etc x

Speaking as a committed breast feeder, I wasn't happy with the program either!! It made bf'ers out to either be long suffering fools, wacky lactivists or just plain lazy. I'm a 'normal' woman and don't rant and rave about bf'ing being better, don't shove it down other peoples throats and I certainly don't judge a woman who chooses to feed her baby with a bottle. At the end of the day, we're all mums looking out to do what's best for our babies!

im so thick! I saw ur fb status and for the life of me couldnt remember hu u were on here!
i know what u mean. Im not anti breastfeeding!! I just wish it wasnt forced down our throats. the bonding thing really really grinds on me, in case my annoyance didnt come across in my first post lol. I duno, I just get really angry listening to it
