Yesterday I had an almost positive opk and then the next one I took was neg so I assumed I'd just missed the surge and caught the end, also had ewcm the last few days which has gone now and pains in one side yesterday so I thought I had ovulated. But my temp isn't up this morning compared to my other pre ov temps boo! Does this mean I didn't actually ovulate? Tried googling it but keep seeing conflicting answers xxxx

It varies for everyone as to when the temp goes up. I think for me it takes 3 days! You may still be ovulating so keep dtd. Ovulation is actually meant to happen after the ewcm stops. The pains are a good indication. You can ovulate up to 48 hours after a pos opk...I'd take the almost pos as pos for now.

I plot it all out on a paper graph and it's still hard to know the exact day.

You've got a good ovulation dip on day 15 and your temp IS coming up. For some women it goes up gradually. I honestly don't think you can know 100% the exact day. I'd say it's either day 15, 16, or even 17 for you this month. Morely likely 15 or 16. There is scientific disagreement from various studies as to whether women ovulate before, during or after the dip....it is different for different women.

Ah thank you :) so my temp could just climb gradually over the next few days? I googled about that dip yesterday and was expecting a big rise today if it was ov so that makes me feel better :). xx

Yes, apparently some women have a temp that goes up gradually. If you temp for a couple of months you can work out your own pattern. Good luck! xx

Ooh that's good. Thanks! :) I hope I did ov I'm so tired from dtd so much lol xx

I used one of those online bht adjusters as I had quite a few I'd taken at the wrong time so it's adjusted it. This looks slightly better although temp hasn't gone up by much and my temps seem so low overall compared to a lot of other people's especially as I'm temping vaginally xxx

I take temps at diff times each day. You don't need to adjust in my opinion. It's still high enough for luteal phase...as long as it doesn't hit the line. It should ideally be above the 6 temps before ovulation (incl ovulation). If it dips too much for too long you'll just get AF in my experience. Don't panic...this all looks fine. It's ok to get odd days when it goes down. As long as it is consistently up.

If you really want to know all there is about temping read 'Taking charge of your fertility'...it is awesome, but big. A shorter also useful book is 'The impatient woman's guide to getting pregnant'.

Ooh okay thanks :) will have a look at those books! It confuses me haha xx

good luck millielaura- I will be watching anxiously for your next update xx
