Just wondering if anyone is going to do a baby book? Either buy one of create your own, to put in the important first dates, key photos etc? I'd like to do something, but I haven't found any I want to buy. I have some cute Hungry Caterpillar gift wrap that I bought that I could use to cover a blank book and fill in stuff, but has anyone done anything else? bought something they like? Any other ideas?

Thanks all :) xxx

I did one for my daughter and will be doing one for this one. I searched everywhere for a book i liked and i finally found one in the charity shop that specializes in baby stuff its a Beatrix potter book which matches my older daughters and it only cost £1.50 it has a pocket in the back for first cards etc.

My daughter loves going through her book and my mum said she is sending my baby book and box over this year so we will all have one

I've got the Winnie - The - Pooh one. Love it, its really cute with envelopes for scan pics ets.

I got mine throught a book club in my office, can't wait to start filling it up!!!

I'm doing a baby scrapbook that I will add dates etc to once baby is here :) only done the first page or two though - should really add the 4D scan pics too!

Here's the two pages I've done - nothng special, I'm not very good at these kinda things  but I suppose it's nice to have!

The hungry caterpillar gift wrap to cover a book sounds great! Hungry caterpillar stuffs so cute :) xxx

Thanks for all your replies. Rach, I love that! Have you done that from scratch? I wouldn't mind buying one, just haven't seen any that have grabbed me. My husband would love Winnie the pooh he thinks the stuff is really cute for kids.

I was thinking of getting a little photo album from paperchase and then I'm able to decorate and stick in what I want. I was thinking of a photo on every birthday as well until they turn 18 or 21 and then giving it as a gift!

ive got a couple of books. one was a present which is one from m & s. really lovely and have space for birthdays for years.

then ive got a funky one i bought that is white and has lovely little mini person written on the front. it has loads of pic space and bits for cards etc aswell.

still tempted to do a birthday one from scratch aswell though.

also like the idea of the email adddress setup for them from the tv ad. xx

Oh do you mean like sending them an email every year or so then giving them the access to it later in life? Xx

My aunty gave us one as a gift yesterday, the outside is lemon coloured leather an it says my beautiful baby on. I dunno where she got it from, it's bloody lovely but I'm scared to do anything with it incase I spoil it! Only thing is it hasn't got lots of room for pictures and stuff but is ringbinded so suppose can easily add more pages. I'm gonna buy or make, haven't decided yet another aswell, keep this one for best and make something a bit more personal xxxx

Aww thanks hun :) A photo for every bithday up until 18/21 sounds a great idea! Would be a lovely thing for baby to have when he/she is older :)

I had a scrapbook already for some reason so just got some sheets of the background paper from hobbycraft then bought some bits and peices off ebay! I would like to get a nicer scrapbook at somepoint though cause the one I'm using is pretty boring lol

Ebay have some really nice stickers etc - http://crafts.shop.ebay.co.uk/Embel...nts+baby&_frs=1&_sop=15&_trksid=p3286.c0.m359

Here's a cute winnie the pooh one - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Jolees-3D-Sti...ishments_SM&hash=item19c3bbcc35#ht_500wt_1156

I've found a few nice things in the pound shop too lol.. and even using wrapping paper and spare ribbon works great :) I found these tiny tiny little pegs out a craft shop and used a piece of white string, cut out some little vest and babygrow shapes and clipped them onto the string with the pegs and made it look like a little washing line for one of the scrapbook pages  xxx
