my friend is organising a baby shower for us which is really nice of her :D

the problem is she is asking for a list of things that people can get as a gift for us. I must admit I am a bit stumped as to what to ask for!

does anyone have any ideas? I don't know what people generally like to give as gifts. I would ask for practical things like nappies but is that not the type of gift people want to give? any essentials that are extremely useful?

any input would be greatly appreciated :D

I'm a bit clueless on this whole baby thing :rotfl: :rotfl:

How about bedding for the cot/moses basket? Its practical but also a nice gift to give I think
Hope that helps!

Ive not had a baby shower but ive bought plenty of essentials:

Moses basket bedding and cot bedding
babygrows and vests (if you havent already got some)
Jacket or snowsuit
newborn toys
nappy sacks
nappies
cotton wool
baby scissors
baby head thermometer
baby room and bath thermometer
baby bath
top and tail bowel
changing mat
socks
mittens
bibs

Thats a start anyway..Heelas actually do a nursery list.. i have one for my own benefit so i can get things as i go along.. havent really told anyone about it though.

Yeh some of my America nand Canadian friends are giving me an online baby shower lol and I was stuck as to what to ask for? So I put blankets etc! Clothes! As Claire says the basics!

I would say if you want nappies etc then ask for them as im sure they would prefer to buy something you will use than something that will be stuck in a drwaer or passed on unused

Also stuff like books for the baby. My mum brought my DD "How much do I love you" baby book where you can record their first years. It's lovely to look back on and just see how much she's developed and changed.

Other things we were given were things like a baby gym, a bouncer chair. What we didn't buy but I really want this time is a Bumbo seat.

Hope you have a good party :D
