We could afford it
just
hubbys salary pays every bill
my wage dictates lifestyle
with a tiny baby we will have no life so it's fine lol
mat pay should be enough
we do have some savings and credit cards for anything big that crops up in the short term before returning to work
its more the feeling of being stable in a good job I want but that doesn't necessarily need to be now x

We fell pregnant when on hindsight, we were NOT ready. My husband was (is) a big kid and was not ready to be a good husband let alone dad. We had one heck of a year and he had one heck of a journey to undergo, I had some learning to love myself to do because i nearly fell apart trying to please everyone else and all of this while having our first baby. In some ways, i want to go back and do it over again, better, perfect in that creamy clean perfection that baby brands advertise as the 'norm'. But actually i treasure those days of sitting in a million layers, with a baby as bundled as if we lived in the arctic, because nappies cost so much we couldnt afford to get oil in the heating tank. Days of writing a novel while breastfeeding my infant because there was nothing else to do with my days but that, and us. I wouldn't change a single thing. Life is never what you think it will be, nor will the time ever be perfect to have a baby, they most certainly don't follow your plans anyway! My advise would be to figure out if you're done for good at your current work, and if so, to look at jobs. TTC could take a long time so may as well be in work and get government maternity pay rather than nothing. Or sort things out so you can bear work where you are, clear up some messes and take up yoga or other such relaxing passtimes lol then try for your baby. Enjoy the ride and don't be afraid to just wing it sometimes.
