passed my test last month and insurance is soooo high!!! 3000 for a car worth 300 quid, so gutted

it really stinks,

my SIL has just passed her test, cars worth £500 n her insurance with her bf is £3500,

ive been driving 6yrs, never claimed, but mines gone up £25 per month more this year, insurance company told me its due to so many people claiming due to the bad winters we have had,

good luck searching, have u checked ur bank n compare websites and things, mines £150 per month cheaper with directline than any other company, which isnt on a compare website, so might be worth checking there if you havent allready,

put the value of the car up to 1000 thats what insurance company done for me they said it makes no diff to policy as its only ur opinion and theyll only give u value of car at time anyway xx

That's ridiculous! No wonder so many people drive with no insurance! Have u tried a lot of companies? X

Its freaking robbery. Mine is £700 and something, so £66 a month but its fairly cheap really considering I have had an accident (yes...in snow!) and got dont have any no claims. I think next year it will stay the same price...cant see how they could charge me more?!

They know that its a big scam and that its illegal to drive without it so they know they can make prices rediculously high and people will still pay. Urgh.

Bloody hell that's awful!! The most I've ever paid is £1100 for the year! 3000 is awful!
