After spending one night in the maternity ward I have come home with 32 mozzy bites all over my legs and arms and am seriously struggling not to scratch them for relief as I know this will make it even worse.

What can I do to relieve the itch and bring down the swelling- I'd normally take antihistamines but obviously can't at the moment :(

Oh bless you, thats awful!!! I will ask my sister for you,. she's a phamacist, I remember getting badly bitten when I was pg but cant remember what I took....hang on.....

My sister said "I'm not allowed to recommend anything but ice and calomine during pregnancy. A doctor may prescribe Piriton in late pregnancy but that is at their discretion I'm afraid"

Sorry I couldnt be more help :-( xxx

Hi annie I know Im a bit late answering this but I just came back from Scotland last week and my bum and hips are literally purple!!! I had to see a pharmacist while I was away and being pregnant all he could give me was Aquious with calamine in it and told me to keep it in the fridge!
Its working and relieving the itching a bit so maybe give it a try xxx
