Induction booked

Well went for my 40+5 midwife appointment today.

Pip's head is engaged but not quite enough for a sweep so unless pip gets a love on we're booked in for an induction next Wednesday.

Midwife was happy with everything so advise me to enjoy our last few potential days as a couple and sad baby will come when it's good and ready

Have no idea if pip will come naturally but either way at least I've only a week to wait before we meet our LO finally x

I'm 40 & 4 today was supposed to have sweep but cervix closed so no can do. Induction booked for next Thursday, as you say we have waited this long so we can do one more week!!! Going to have a lie down & read my book while I still can. X

Glad you have a date hun.

I reckon I got my baby out by walking loads, well hobbling given the SPD lol.

It's the only thing I can think of might have kicked it off!!

I didn't relize they couldn't alway perform a sweep! Gutted! I was hoping for one tomorrow, so will you not get a sweep then? Just straight in for induction? Xxx

Charlie-no sweep as baby isn't engaged enough ie too high so no they won't always do one as it'll have no effect if baby is still not fully engaged.

Just a case of waiting it out and hoping LO will make an appearance with induction
