Hi girls, Just wondering what everyone's views are on in-laws and Facebook? I get on fine with my inlaws but they like to know what we're up to. They have Facebook accounts but rarely update them but are always using F.book to see what others are up to . I haven't added them (would apply same rule or my parents) i have nothingto hide but its purely a social/friends thing It's a little too close for comfort! I mentioned I had a twitter account ( thy have created one and added me but again they do not update their twitter).

My MIL is on my Facebook- we are always having a laugh- heck my nan who's 75 has Facebook - it's hilarious hahahaha

I don't take it too seriously though- and have nothing to hide by having my family and friends on my Facebook :)

I love Facebook for this reason! I can put pics of Lucie on and MIL/SIL can get an update without having to speak or see them. Until I had Lucie, the only family I had on fbook was my husband. I used it purely for having a laugh with friends. I realised that it was a great way of keeping family involved without them being involved iykwim.

You can restrict who sees what on your page. My Dad Facebook stalks me and my brothers, he says it's the only way he knows what we are up to. E.g my bro went to the Bahamas and no one knew until he checked in lol.

I totally get what you mean, for me I decided to suck it up and add them all, it's working well ATM fingers crossed.

I wouldn't add my MIL or my parents as I like my privacy and view it more of a friend thing.
Instagram is way better if you just want to share photos with them.
