Hello. I turned 39 three weeks ago and found out today that I am pregnant. It is my first pregnancy. Needless to say, I am stunned and scared, but also happy.
Saturday, I thought I was getting my period because I saw some streaky, light blood on my toilet paper. Today, I am still having it. It's very light and ranges from light brown to an orange-red color. I wore a panty liner to work, but didn't even need it. But the fact it's there is concerning.
I am also having some occasional mild cramping, like mild period pain. Oddly enough, the cramping became more pronounced the second I saw my positive test. I think my mind is just playing with me at this point. I took a shower and it feels much better now.
Does this all sound pretty normal? I am four weeks in, and my period was late as of Friday. I have a doctor's appointment in four weeks. Thanks for any info.
