I literally cannot stop thinking about what name to call my little boy. I am listening in on people conversations to hear if any decent names are mentioned, studying the names on at the end if programmes, desperately searching the Internet and still can't find anything I love! I feel like there is a name that I will love but just can't remember what it is so just keep looking hoping something will come up!
My most favourite name is Max, but oh didnt like it, I like Josh/Joshua but feel like its too popular. I don't want any of the really popular names like Harry, Ollie, Louis, even though they're lovely.
Oh likes names like Reggie, ronnie, frankie... I don't like the first 2, don't mind frankie/Freddie but would prefer a name that sounds good for an adult too. Feel like they're cute for a baby, but can't see a doctor/mp with that name (obviously thinking way ahead of myself but have high hopes! Ha!) xxxx

You could have Frederick and call him Freddie for short x

What about:
Zachary (Zach)
Franklin (frankie)
Seth
Timothy (tim/timmy)
Charles (Charlie)
Harris/on (Harry)
Sebastian (Seb)
Milo
Finn/ley
Jacob (jake)
Alban (Ollie)

Just some random names there for you x lol. I love Max! Shame your oh doesn't :( I dislike josh/ua x

Hi Claire, what about more traditional names like john, George, (sounds like I'm listing the Beatles! Lol), Christopher, Matthew? Sounds like your oh likes American type sounding names so maybe taking john and calling him johnny would appeal? It's really hard though eh? I don't like any of the more popular trendy names that are about so I will stick with traditional, can't go wrong. Good luck xxx

We had on our list;
Dexter
Milo
James
Thomas
Jaxon
Reuben
Archie
Donovan
Taite
Archer
Cole
Murray
Monroe

We picked Dexter in the end only for the wee boy I was so sure i was having to be a Daisy Grace! Xx

Well I have a Max so that gets my vote :) But we have talked about baby no 2 (not that we're even trying yet) and we've chosen Theo if we have another boy.

Other names I like are Jack, William, Freddie, Alfie, Archie and Isaac xx

Thanks ladies. It's so hard isn't it! I already have a jake so need something that is on the same level really.. I do quite like Jaxon as mentioned, but everyone I've mentioned it to hates it, and I know other opinions shouldn't matter but its difficult to still like something when people are telling you it's horrid!
If anyone has any other ideas please keep them coming xxxxx

What about Harrison? Could then be called Harry for short if you like and goes lovely with Jake xxx

I'm calling me lo jack alfie. I loved alfie but oh wasn't too keen so we compromised. Took us 6 months of discussion and debate to agree on this tho. My oh is very opinionated and fussy!!! Xxx

Actually Claire looking back on your first post I really like Frankie and think it goes well with Jake? He could just go with Frank when he's a doctor/mp in later life ;-) Or he could be Francis (very grown up and respectable) and you could use Frankie for short?

Sorry but I agree with the majority about Jaxon but think it's the spelling I dislike. Cos I don't mind it spelled like Jackson.

Claire I might sounds biased but I love the name Tyler!

That my little boys name and it's the only name I can say I really love. Before we knew baby number 2 was a girl, we were trying to get a list of boys and girls names. And I literally could not find a single boys name I even half liked. I spent weeks almost panicking because I knew there wasn't a name I'd love as much as Tyler.

So many people say ah what a lovely name, and it's not all that common really. Xxx

Im of the opinion sod what others think....my baby and all That. Lol
The amount of people who told us after we found the baby was a girl that they hated our boys (Dexter) choice. I always said too bad! Id never heard of jaxon until id seen it on a cup in disney world florida, must be an American take on the traditional spelling. Xx

I'm of this opinion as well! Especially since a 'friend' of B's dad (we're no longer together) and his mother both said horrible things about B's name! If I ever had another baby is keep the name to myself as people are less likely to comment when the baby is already named!

People can be rude and hurtful when it comes to names. My sil said daisy was as "common as muck" jeeze thanks. So I asked her to name me another and of course she couldnt. Xx

I can't believe your sil said that!! For a start the name Daisy isn't common at all and what a bloody cheek! xx

i only have one name for a girl and that is harriet, my oh suggested it and i was i like mmmm its ok, but it really has grown on me, so i think thats that, as for a boy i have no idea our list is:
max
maxim
harris
harrison
lucas

most of the names are similar lol

xx

oh forgot to say i love the name Daisy and its not common at all lol x

God I can't believe how awful people can be! I have a feeling my sil will be very vocal aswell (as she always is) but I'm prepared for it as I don't particularly like the name of her son but its not up to me.. I've decided I will say that if she's says anything hurtful to me!
I've been working on the oh the last couple of days with Max and I think I am making progress. I still want a list of a couple of names tho.. So will have to keep obsessing! Xxx

I think sometimes men need time to get used to a name. Our Max came about because my OH insisted on calling the bump Maximus through the pregnancy, he said he was his little gladiator. We looked at all sorts of names but I only knew him as Max :) Frankie is also very cute and I think it's good to have a couple of options xxx

I have a Dylan and I'm having a Jacob, we settled on names whilst we were trying to save arguments ha x
