Seriously, Charlie is just so good, and I'm loving being a new mum again that I'm now so scared that something is going to go horribly wrong. I know I should be grateful that everything is so good, and it's only early days, but I can't get that niggling feeling out of the back of my mind.

Charlie feeds every 3 and a half to 4 hours during the day, takes 3-5 oz depending on the time of day, has his last feed at around 10pm, then sleeps until 4am. 30 mins later, he's fast asleep again. DH gets up at 5am for work, then I get up at 6.30, have a shower, get dressed, do my make-up and hair, have breakfast, then wake Charlie at 7.30 for his feed (the only time I wake him for a feed), then take Kayleigh to school at 8am. Then back home, clean the flat completely as Charlie has fallen fast asleep on the car journey home. I can then get the evening meal sorted (tonights chilli is made and in the saucepan ready to reheat), then wash and sterilise all the bottles. I've got all of Charlie's bath stuff ready for him to wake in a minute, then he'll be bathed, changed, and ready for his 11am feed. Then I'll go for a walk with him and the dog for an hour, then back home where I'll probably have a half hour nap on the sofa. 2.30pm is feed time again, then it's time to pick Kayleigh up from school. Then back home and homework time with her before DH comes home. Then it's evening meal time, veg out on the sofa until bedtime, then it starts again.

It's all too easy - what's going to go wrong?!!!

 wow you are doing so great! we had alex in a routine but the first three weeks were still chaos as we tried to get to grips with the sleepless nights and keep the housework up etc - you must be supermum
maybe its just cos you've done it all before your instinct is kicking in and its all going well.

try not to worry - if it all goes wrong then it might be harder for a while but he will settle again - hopefully you've just got a very good little sleeper and he'll stay that way. just enjoy it! :)

Thats great its falling into place. Im not just as lucky yet but im genuinely happy for you :D Jess was like what you describe charlie to be like and it makes for very happy living.

Wow well done Tankett!!!

My first few weeks and months were great as well (might be because we have older girls) i was so organised and Jack was an angel, i did make up and hair every morning too. house was spotless and all luandry done

Fast forward a few months and OMG, now he is on the move it is so hard to get anything done, hate been in is playpen for more than 30 mins at a time so i do ironing on and off all day one day a week.
Don't have time to do make up before school often and as for straightening hair :x

He is still really 'good' but god he is so active

Ooops hope that didn't bring you down!!!

How on earth dow you get time todo the housework?

For how long and how often do your LO's sleep for during the day?

Jacks in bed at the minute, not quite asleep yet  he will sleep for about an hour then have his lunch

then he will go back down at about 3.30 for an hour or so

he used to back down at 2 but thats no good now as i have to pick emily up from school at 3

basically he has 2 sleeps a day ranging from1 -2 hours

Oh my god... tankett your amazing!!!! how the hell do you get to do your make up, bottles, house work, drop Kayleigh off at school all before 11am... fancy a job at my place? well done....

i'm a bit more lazy... we wake at 7.30 when jacob wats to play. But instead of getting up we take him into our room and play with him on the bed till around 9am.... Then DH gets ready for work leaves around 10am... I then do bottles, put washing in machine, change Jacob, mop the floors... before i know it jabob wants his 12 clock feed.... He is a good baby thou. I get 4 hours between feeds from him. He takes between 4 and 5oz... By 1pm we're finally ready to go out some place.

Nicky - Charlie sleeps on and off all day, although he is only very young so that will change.

Currently i wake him at 7.30, he feeds, he then goes sleep in the car on the school run. Then he won't wake until about 10-10.30. This is now bathtime (I found he doesn't settle after a bath in the evenings), then feed. He will then sleep until around 1.30 ish, so this is walk the dog time and little nap for me. Then he is playful until feed time at about 2.30, then after that it's the school run again. So he does sleep loads when I am on my own. It is the evening time that he is most awake, and will be awake from his 6.30 feed until his 10pm feed. Then he sleeps until about 4am, then again back off after this feed until I wake him at 7.30am. He's fast off now and I'm just about to go for a walk.

I am sitting here typing one handed as she can't lay down for more than a few mins without screaming in pain. We normally get about 30mins after each feed before the pain starts but I am trying to avoid alwas trying to get her to sleep immediately after feeds. She is dropping off to sleep at the moment.

You've got an angel baby Tankett.

I hope it continues for you. There's no reason why it shouldn't.

Our early weeks were easy too because Isaac just slept all the time for the first 8/9 weeks, I'm sure it's because he was 5 weeks prem.

YAYYYYY Good for you! So glad your enjoying this special time!!!
Long may it last lol!

Wow Tankett..you make it sound so easy!!!

I hope I turn out to have such an angel baby too, long may it last hun!

i was like that with B till he hit 4 months old and now he is amonkey 24/7 lol

Well it must be a Charlie thing as my little Charlie was an angel from the start as well. Fed exactly every 4 hours, slept through the night from 6 weeks old and even when waking at 8am would have a bottle and come into bed with me as DH was at work and we would stay in bed ASLEEP until an average time of 10am or even 11am if we were really lazy!!!
He has 3-4 naps in the day and they are exactly 30 minutes...you can time him with a stop watch to the minute, strange boy.
Congratulations on having a little angel and may it continue!!!
