This man worked where I worked. He came to my reception desk when i was in my last week at work. He said he'd been kicked out by his wife and he had nowhere to go and could he possibly have some staff accommodation.
I had to call the duty manager at that point because i can't do anything about staff accommodation, and in the end he had to stay in guest accommodation for the night because all the staff ones were full. Although it's not my work's responsibility to house people they are good about helping people out.
I can't believe i felt sorry for this man, i even went to get him a drink and i kept checking he was ok.
It's just freaky having been so close to someone who is obviously disturbed.
