"ie" or "y"?

Hi girls! I'm way ahead of myself here because I'm not even PG but I've had a girls name in mind for the last year! (I'm sure I'm not alone!)
I realised the other day that I'd like it for a boy too, winner!

Brodie / Brody

Which for a girl? Which for a boy?

(OH will be glad that he doesn't get a say!)

My friends son is called Brody (with a y)

I thought ie for a girl or maybe just i?

My other friend called her little girl Tori just with the i and I think thats nice?

I can be a proper grammar nazi so if I went with 'i' it'd have to have the 'e' on the end! Lol I think it looks nice, but it'd bug me!
