Is she too big for the soft play now, what she have instead?

thanks ladies

bowling? a movie?

is 9 to young for a sleep over? make it a real girly night

We did paint a pot last year which was very popular, then a party tea at ours , then they all went outside to play on the trampoline (on a dark Feb night  ) it went really fast (had them all from end of school till 7pm.

Most of DS friends now take a few kids to frankie and bennies, pizza hut or an expensive buger joint in our town or go bowling/cinema that sort of thing and then some playtime at their house until about 7 ish. Works really well for us!!

Last year I gave DS a choice of paint a pot, going out to somewhere like conkers/zoo/eureka/magna, going to his fave indian restraunt or cinema and a sleep over and set amount of kids to fit budget as some ideas cost alot more than others. He decided on paint a pot.

This year he doesnt want a party as he says he is too old (he will be 9)

Our local beauty salons do sleep over kits for girls parties, face packs and lots of giltter that sort of thing!!

A girly sleepover would be cool, maybe a few films for the girls to watch, some games, singstar, karaoke?

There's also the idea of a a cocktail sleepover, obviously alcohol free, but little girls love the brollies and pretty straws! :D

A little person disco! :) If you have a big room in your house get some little flashy lights and some music and have a little disco. Or bowling with a few or her close friends. Or a fancy dress party :D :D

I did pizza hut for kate last year with 5 friends, this year she is 10 and will be having a sleepover. Its not for another 3 weeks but god am i dreading it!

Its hard at this age because there not all grown up yet but definatly think there to cool for most stuff thats still there age.

I think a sleep over is an excellent idea :D

i would say bowling or cinema :D kiaras 8 in march and has said she wants a day out at the farm cos shes too old for parties :?

We have had:-

Bowling
Day out with one of her friends at Alton Towers and stayed in the Alton Towers Themed Hotel over 2 days
Horse Riding Day
BBQ and pool party with games and a sleep over (although in Spain so the weather was better for the pool party and we had a pool then!)
Hired a room and had a magician and inflatables and face painting
Ice Skating party
Water Park Party in Benidorm (again we lived in Spain so not so easy in the UK)

Just a few suggestions

thanks all!! Can't really have a sleepover as the house isn't that big plus Harrison isn't a great sleeper sometimes :rotfl:

We'll probably have a disco with a party person there? doing games etc

my niece (shes now nearly 15) has had a face painting party - make up etc for girls n face paints for boys - doing each others.
decorate a tshirt - fabric paint, fabric glue etc
fondue party!!!!
im sure she had a cake decoating party as well though could have been my nephew?, with small cakes, icing and all the bits etc. these were all done at home

shes had bowling and ice skating party
