I want to break the playstation

My OH plays games on the playstation for hours a day. It is driving me crazy.

I feel really critical of him. He has no hobbies and he has let his physical fitness go - and has started smoking cigarettes again

I feel disappointed with him, and I want to break the playstation.

Do it do it do it!! OH plays the xbox and that call of duty game but has the volume right up and through the surround sound!! Winds me up so much!

My OH has a PS3 as well and play online COD. To be fair if its the only hobby he has then its what he s going to do. I play on it to sometimes but i have my own hobbies and also college work so that keeps me happy.

Maybe suggest that he only plays a couple of hours a night, or after you have watched a film together.

I do understand though how it feels. Maybe when baby is here it will be different xx

If hes used to it whilst your pregnant theres no chance he'll change it doing it. see what he says if it changes.
Men dont think about there physical fitness there not usually bothered unless they say they are.
SMASH IT LOL only joking. ask him if he wants to watch a film with you if not you know what that tells you x

I must admit, my OH changed when little un was born. He only goes on it at night now when monkey boy is in bed xx

Thank you ladies! I hope the habit changes after the baby is born. His mom says that it will, that he is just getting all the time in that he can. I told him how I feel and he laughed it off, but then watched TV with last night! I guess it because I am a lot less active than usual ~ so it gives me more time to look at how he spends his time.

my man has always been used to his computer way before we got together an he still does it now although when he seen me write on this yesterday he actually started watching things with me was well suprised lol. x

i thought my OH would change after lil un was born but he could still be on the computer an sometimes blanks me an baby out can be upsetting which he knows he says hes like in a trance an im thinking pfft lolx

You have to be really careful as it can be an addiction - a compulsive behaviour that replaces real interaction with other people and the environment.

My husband is the same, but i have to keep an eye on him.

If i think he is playing too much - i make him stop. It's just a case of straight talking to make him see my point of view and then negotiating what is regarded as an acceptable amount of game time.

The deal tends to be that he doesn't play until after his evening meal and he is in bed by 10pm - which is the time we both go to bed.

It is no different at the weekends so we have the daytime together.

Sometimes i make acceptions, like if i have nothing better to suggest for us to do.

Stick a dodgy fuse in the socket if you are good with a screwdriver, that'll stop him playing until he figures it out and then just do it again when you get sick of him

I am an xbox widow, OH plays every oportunity he gets. When he is playing he is able to block out the cries of our babies!! It was his addiction that drove me to this forum but he has the cheek to complain about my PFing. If I had a quid for every lass that was peeved with a gaming obsessed bloke I would be a squillionaire! Doesn't make it amy less annoying tho eh? Xx

hubby can block out lil mans cries its so upsetting to see that isnt it x

i know what you mean by that lol my oh plays on xbox and his computer. mind saying that i play on xbox when hes at work and when amy is a sleep but on his days off hes always on it lol he does spend time with amy to but its annoying when hes on it coz he likes it loud lol men what there like there still big kids at heart lol
