I want a baby...

My little boy was planned and my god was it a shock when he was born! No matter how much I planned everything the responsibility was a kick in the face, no one can ever prepare for that! I felt like any other person who hadn't planned their baby, it really hit me! When he was born I was on a complete high when I saw his gorgeous face and then the reality that you have to take this little person home really hit me! It's such a major thing that you never really think about until it happens. Don't get me wrong I love him to pieces and wouldn't change it all for the world but I wasn't prepared at all for him when I thought I was. It reall does change everything mostly for the good but there are always some things you think you're missing out on even for a split second and I think that comes no matter what age you are! Just make sure it's what you really want hun because it's the hardest thing you will ever do and it won't go away! All that said I love every moment of it with my son and seen as I have never really been around kids I make a pretty good mum :D Good luck hun!

good on you for telling them your TTC!
Defo first step to take!!
My dad is 50 this year and he still thinks he's too young to be a granddad, and mum is 48 and she still thinks she's 21 so she's really not keen on the idea!!
but at the end of the day they know its my life, and although they'd like me to wait for a couple of years they know we're ttc

good luck with ttc

i think if i said to my dad "your going to be grandad" he would flip...not because im too imature to be a mum but because it would make him feel old. My dads only 45 and i think the idea scares him. My mums been dropping hints about me having a baby and i think she would be over the moon!

My dad is goin to be a grandad at the age of 38 :D
