I had my baby ten weeks ago all was going great I felt energetic and happy bit of aniexty mind when she was sleepin, etc kept checking her but apart from that I thought all was going well. Since last Wednesday, I started my period and was very sick things are not going well at all. I just feel lifeless and so run down it is actually an effort to get out of bed. I have been staying at my mums as I was really very sick last week and scared incase I drop the baby or something cause I get quite lightheaded. I just feel so low and shaky and have been to the doctors twice as I thought I might have a womd infection or possible low in iron but she says certainly not it weas just a bug and I am getting over it. Well I certainly dont feel like getting over it yes I am no longer sick but I feel terrible so run down and I wouldnt say I am depressed but if I dont start and pick up soon I think I will be. Sorri for the long post anyonelse experienceing this or something similar xx

:hugs: wish i could help, i think to an extent its pretty normal after having a baby, especially if youre unwell as well as being very tired and looking after a newborn! hope someone more useful comes along ... keep strong and chin up xxx

Hi Hun,

I totally relate to what you are saying. I am feeling lonely and anxious already about money and going back to work and it just depresses me, last week was the worst as he wouldnt feed and I literally held him out to my husband and told him to take him away from me. I felt so awful and guilty for doing this as I love him so much but I was tired, stressed and worried he wasnt eating enough. Thankfully things are back on track but when he cries and cries I cannot cope and hubby is not always going to be here so I have had to try to deal with it.
I started my af this week and like you have no energy and just feel down and lifeless, I cant be bothered going out and I just feel awful about myself.

Why dont you have a chat with your gp and see if they can recommend anything?

Thanks hun, I have been to the gp and shes so not nice makes me feel like Im pestering her. Yesterday I bought Seven Seas Vitamins for an Energetic mum appartently there good after childbirth. Hopefully I will feel better soon think my period was so heavy and quite a loss that its making me feel like this.

oh hun, i hope you feel better soon. i had this first 4 weeks it was awful! :hugs:

can you try your HV?? mine was lovely when I talked to her about everything. it might just be the left over of some bug you've had, that plus af could have exhausted your body more than you think.
