I need to do something really special for my mum.

Nothing to do with Mothers day but I think she is feeling really down and homesick. She moved to London a few years ago. She told me on the phone this morning that she regrets moving there We cant get down there until the 7th March when we are going for the weekend. She has only seen Jake about 4 times and it kills her to be so far away. Ive told her our door is always open if she wants/needs to come back home. I secretly hope she will come back but she has a partner (who doesnt treat her the way she deserves to be treated ) and a gorgeous stepson who she dotes on (and who loves her back just as much).

I might buy her a massive bouquet of flowers just to cheer her up.

I dont expect any repiles, just waned to write this down.

Yeah she'd love the flowers. Maybe a card too saying you're thinking about her and you're always there for her.
Would she like to see pictures of Jake? You could make a little album for her, including times when she was with you. Not sure if this actually will make her feel worse.

Also, if you can afford it, a round-trip ticket for her to visit you?
