i made a post about my m8 gettin married a year this december but they have now decided to do it this year,
we are trying to find a dress for her and dresses for Bridesmaids but they cant be expensive ne ideeas?
also ne ideas on how we can cut costs for other fings

we did our wedding for a total of 1500!!
dress from oxfam, 1 bridesmaid who had a suitable dress,
any one could come to the church, but reception was close friends and family limited to 30. we didn't have an evening disco - i hate discos any way and its only an excuse for people to get pissed on your money!
Glad i didn't have one anyway as i was knackered by 4pm!!
good luck - but seriously try the charity shops as they often have dresses in.

dont asda do some good bridesmaid dresses? just an idea :D

I got my wedding dress from ebay for £99...it wasn't even a second hand one. It was one of those ebay shops .

I had the bridesmaids' dresses made at a local dressmakers for £40 each.

we did the same as hypnorm...

except we booked the wedding for 3... so everyone had already had lunch, anyone could come to the registry office, but was 24 at the meal!
Then anyone could come to the hotel after, we didn't hire a room or anything!

Some good tips there - i'd say check ebay, and local charity shops, and the for sale section in the local paper?

xox

catalogue discount stores are good as well, there is one near to me in birmingham and they have some really nice evening white or cream dresses with shrugs in the same material, they are quite heavy and good quality and best still they were only £30
