If I knew the answer to that hun, id be a MILLIONAIRE!! Think we all get stressed TTC, part of the course of things really. :wall:

:D I know what you mean! But I must admit everytime I have got pregnant, it has been when I have not been stressing about it!! When I think sod it whatever happens, happens is when I get pregnant.

Got a tip for you.. sounds silly but true. I know a girl who has three children. She cant seem to get pregnant. She was trying for well over a year to have her first child and what worked for her is......wait for it.... doing a handstand in the bedroom after sex!! no word of a lie it worked three times!! God honest truth, it gets the sperm to the egg quicker with the aid of gravity.

weird or what!!!!!

Hi Shell, I don't know if you are using anything like ovulation sticks but I can't praise them enough. I got pregnant straight away and I swear it was because I knew exactly when I was ovulating. We did it the night before and the night of ovulation. I couldn't believe it as I also have a 40+ day cycle. Good luck and look at some of the other tips that are on this forum! Ps I also did the pillow under the bum!

Yep, I always had ovulation pains and some months it was so bad I thought they were period pains and could never work out why my period was 2 weeks late every month! I then worked out what they were and realised it was my long cycle.

I hope you have been lucky his month :D

I just told my OH about this convo he's in giggles thinking about it although I can guarantee at some point he will tell me to try it

What’s the point in TTC if you can't have a bit of fun too

I bought 100 ovulation sticks from a seller called fertility naturopath on Ebay. I think they cost less than £20. I also used them once I got pregnant because the hormone (LH) they measure also rises once you are pregnant. Saved me a fortune on pregnancy tests when was feeling paranoid and didn't feel pregnant anymore!

hi surfgirl,
not sure if you have seen them but in boots there selling Fertell Female & Male Fertility Tests!
they are very expensive 79.99! :?

As seen in the media.

Trying for a baby can be one of the most exciting and rewarding times of your life.

It can also leave you and your partner feeling frustrated, anxious and helpless if conceiving is taking longer than planned, but there is hope for many couples and the majority of fertility issues are treatable. There are many things that affect fertility in both men and women.

For 1 in 7 couples conception via unprotected intercourse is not always straightforward.

The Fertell Female Fertility Test is an easy to use, one-step test that measures ovarian reserve (the quantity of healthy eggs remaining) by diagnosing key hormone levels in your urine.

The Fertell Male Fertility Test is easy to use and measures sperm quality. Intended for home use, it measures the concentration of sperm in your ejaculate that can swim (known as motile sperm), a key indicator of sperm quality.

The female test will give a result within 30 minutes, the male test in 75 minutes and both have been developed to be conducted at home
The Fertell fertility tests do not diagnose all fertility issues. If you take the tests and results show ovarian reserve (the quantity of healthy eggs remaining) is at a normal level and sperm is of a normally expected quality but you still have problems conceiving, then consult your doctor:
- if you are under 35 and have been trying to conceive for over 12 months
- if you are over 35 and have been trying to conceive for over 6 months
- if you have no menstrual bleed or have irregular intervals between periods
if you have recently stopped using oral contraceptives, your cycle may take some time to stabilise. Wait until you have had two normal periods before you use the Fertell Female Fertility Test.
Contents:
1 x female fertility test
1 x male fertility test

there is a bit about them!
