I thought I had it all figured out but my mum is putting doubts in my head about my choice of name. I know I shouldn't listen to other people but shes my mother and I cant help it!

Luka Jacob Thomas

What are your thoughts on the name Luka? For a child and an adult?

I think its lovely for a child and adult. I know its hard not to listen to others but this is your child and your choice. Try not to let others sway you if you truely love a name x

It's becoming such a popular name these days so it's not so unusual :) I like luka but I'm ot fussed on Luke lol got to like both I suppose

I like the name Luka!
Try not to let other people put you off xx

I know of 2 with that name (they are spelt with a c though - Luca), you should ignore other peoples opinions.

I'm only 11 weeks pregnant but within 2 weeks had stopped mentioning names to other people because of their reactions, even if it's just a wrinkle of the nose or an 'oh' it was irritating, we weren't even suggesting unusual names!

We're almost 100% sure what names we'll use and nobody other than hubby & I know, when people suggest names I just nod politely and don't let on that they're already chosen.

OH has a nephew called Luca it's a lovely name xx

I really like it as well for child and adult.

It does sound like you would imagine him to have Italian heritage BUT the names we like are from all over the place.

It's a shame your Mum couldn't be more supportive of your choice sweetie
