but my old friend Kenny has passed away today after suffering cancer throughout his whole body aged 30! his life has not been without suffering and addictions etc but he was a good soul!

Heroin takes too much of a person ( i know it never took his life) but it did in a way! We all loved a good time back in the day but for some drugs got their nasty hold! Kenny isn't the first of my friends to go .

I have lost 2 friends directly to heroin ( 1 special pal )

and now Kenny ........... All young men !

My area is bad for heroin , you wouldn't know that to look on the surface it all seems nice here, and many people live blissfully unaware of it even goung on, but lots of the 20-30 something lads around here get sucked up by drugs hard drugs too!

Anyway do any of your areas have problems like this? It makes me so sad this world does, all the nasty things there to drag us down

Sorry to hear about your friends Kirsty. :hugs: x x

Sorry for your loss hunny. The town I went to school in has a very high heroin rate (it's an upper class area too), one of the girls in my class was A+ all the way through school and is now in prison for nearly beating an old woman to death during a robbery to pay for heroin. It's not just through the illnesses addiction can bring on that ruins so many lives as I am sure you are aware.

It's hard to know what emotions you feel at times like these, anger, despair, sadness....it just seems such a waste and unfortunately the people who are really at fault, the growers, distributors etc are rarely given the justice they deserve. Your friend knew you loved him tho hun and is out of his suffering now. Try to remember the person he was on the inside, not what the drugs and cancer turned him into on the outside  xxxxxxxxxx

Really sorry Kirsty

I know a couple of guys that spent most of their 20's and 30's doing heroin but they are clean now and making really good lives for themselves actually helping other addicts get clean :)
