For the last few weeks, all I've thought about is pate on toast. Some garlicky, Brussels pate on crunchy toast... Mmmm....
Now I KNOW it's a food to avoid, but would you think it's safe to have it, just once?? I think j just need a bit to rid this obsession!

Would you ladies? Xx

Haha this made me giggle! I'm not sure why you're not meant to have pate, but I would feel I have come this far I might as well just wait until the baby is here...that's just me though!! How long have you got left? X

Oh I'm the same!! I love the stuff! I'm getting the biggest slab of it possible in 2 weeks time when this babies out haha! Xx

A friend of mine introduced it back at 38 weeks said worst case she will sick her baby out lol I really want it on crumpets..almost there.

Haha I love pâté too but have resisted the urge, like the sicking baby out comment though lol.

It's a nice cool cider with ice alongside a medium rare steak I'm after!x

Could do with a nice cold pimms yum...

See I have 11 weeks to go!! It has too much vitamin A and can contain listeria... Urgh it's driving me mad!! X

Mmmmmm, that would be lovely. Missed Pate so much over the Christmas period. Think i'll ask OH to get some for when I get home from hospital :) I literally cant wait now.

x

You can get vegetarian pate ~ couldron make it... Assume this may be ok and could possibly half satisfy ypur craving?! X

I share your pain! Except mine is for a nice glass of red wine... That first one when I can finally drink again is going to be so good! Promise I'm not a raging alcoholic! :)

I think the listeria risk is there for veg pâté too unfortunately!

Yeah... Believe me when I say I've researched my pate! I'm getting my OH to bring it in when I'm in hospital... Sod waiting till I get home!! Lol x

When I had my first baby the first 'meal' i had was a glass of red wine and pate on toast!!

Prossecco, coffee and soft cheese!!! I can not wait till baby is here xx

I remember my MIL and my SIL brought me pate and all the cheeses I couldn't have into the hospital after I'd had my son! We were there for a week so was definitely a much needed treat! I can't wait to have this one and have all the stuff I've missed. I'm giving my hubby a list!

Go and buy some cheep sainsburys cornedbeaf slices - honestly it tastes really quite like pate in a sarnie when youve not had any for ages :). Let me know what you think x

See I'm really quite bad I would say go for it! I've had soft cheeses and the very rare odd glass of wine (spritzer).

Pasturised soft cheese is fine anyway!

Only thing I stuck to was no pate ! Aye every other food with my son and am the same this time around :)

I had some mushroom pate when I was around 26 weeks. I thought because it was mushroom and not a meat pate it would be fine but I was looking at something after that said you shouldn't even have the vegetable pates! Luckily it was fine.

I've had about 3 glasses of wine the whole pregnancy and have eaten my eggs still runny (only lion stamped ones I have bought myself, not out in café or restaurant where I don't know where they come from). And apart from the pate oopsie I have stuck to the recommended guidelines.

So the hubby knows I am DYING for pate! I've made it very clear that it's the first thing I want when bulbs is here. Went out for lunch at the weekend and what does he order!!...yup!...pate!! Sat and ate it infront of me! HOW RUDE!!!!!

Lol my OH did that a few weeks back. He knew how much I wanted it and sat and ate it in front of me!! I took away him choosing the middle name as punishment lol!! (until he earns it back, of course) x
