I get my fruit and veg from riverswale and today i got a little green caterpillar with my delivery :D it's in a little box with some greenery but what shall i give it to survive. Plus what can i do to keep it in the box and stop it roaming elsewhere! Or shall i eat it for extra protein? Lol!

I like Caterpillars, I haven't seen one for years though

caterpillar related..........

did anyone see that programme on 4 the other night about animals in the womb? The poor caterpillar!!!felt so sorry for it :(

sugar water!
that's what we fed our catepillars that we got.
they turned into crysalys and then emerged into butterflies and we released them! just a dish with a bit of sugar and water. not too deep though! ;)

:puke: yep, I had nightmares!

Can't post a pic as i'm on my phone but he is she is all green, quite a bright green. No name yet, waiting to see if it survives the night first! How do i stop it from escaping

Actually it depends what type of caterpillar it is. Not all of them eat the same thing. Some are designed to eat specific food stuff.

You could have a common white or a hornworm (if it has a hook on its tail).

I'd look on caterpillar/butterfly sites to try to find a pic and identify it so you know what to feed it.
