Noooo - i love New Year

Not as much as christmas, but i see Christmas is for family and New Year is for yourself.

An opportunity to try to make yourself a better person, even if it fails after a couple of days, at least then you might realise that you didn;t really want that thing anyway and find more happiness in yourself as you are.

I used to make a big deal about it, get all hyped up and then disappointed when it wasn't "amazing" so I just started to see it as normal a day as possible. Have fun etc but not pin my hopes on what a great night it would be and I started enjoying new year. This is my first new year alone in my adult life. Went to sleep at 10. Woke up with all the boats tooting there horns and fireworks. Off back to sleep now!

i never used to like new year, but now i love it, wehave a party and everyone comes round here the kids all have their own party in 1 room and us grown ups in another, even though i couldn't get drunk like the others i still really enjoyed myself, we played singing and dancing games on the wii, so we all enjoyed, we set off fireworks at 12 and we didn;t even have to be quiet as the neighbours were here at our party.

we had the wii on too haha i quit just after 1 though we normally have family round few nibbles and drink and bring in the new year loved ones
