Got up mega early this morning when I saw the sun and stripped all our bed sheets and got them in the wash. :) My bed sheets are real luxury ones, a nice light turqoiuse colour and very very soft! I only ever wash them and have them back on the same day as they are soooo nice!

I go to get them out the machine a few minutes ago only to realise I put the bath mat in with them (A VERY DARK RED!!) I dont even remember picking it up, why would I do that?

ALL MY BED SHEETS ARE PINK!!!!!! :wall2:

Oh no thats rubbish :( i did something similar to a new dress last year and was so annoyed with myself!

Are you able to replace them??

Yeah, i will have to but we bought them with some of the money we got for our wedding a few years ago as they were quite expensive! URGH!

oh noooooo  i can imagine how you feel! take some deep breaths, materia things are just that, material things.

I had to remind myself of this as I was soaking the (very expensive) fake tan lotion out of our best white towels after my OH got bored and wondered what fake tan on his arms (yes just his arms) would look like. He used his bare hands so has orange palms too, but wiped them on the white towel and thought that would be alright

I actually held it together quite well, and the stains thankfully came out with some lemon juice and cold water, PHEW! Luckily I thought to ask if he'd touched anything , so didnt have long to sink in.

Its good practise for having a child!!

ah that's rubbish!!! Is it worth trying some of these supermarket stain removal gizmos? I bleached everything when I was on holiday, the americans have some weird washing stuff, and ended trying to dye my trousers back to black and dyed the whole washing machine black too!! My sister just yesterday said she was the one who cleaned it all out, a-hem, it was me who got it sparkling white again. She's in the middle of trying to make a pair of her trousers wear-able again for her hols, oops!!

Told hubby on phone this morning while he was at work and he gave me the whole "they were really expensive" talk. :shakehead: When he got home at lunch and saw them, he could not stop laughing! I cried for bit after he left (I dont know why, they are only bloody bedsheets - must be my hormones).

Its just the fact that they were the best ones we had and we cant justify paying that much for another set. I have been to Dunelm Mill and bought some more, but nowhere near as nice. Oh well...that will teach me x

Eek if you'd have got to the super market before they dried you can get stuff to remove loose dye from running colours - Id have stuck the whole box in!! :(
