I did it!

Just wanted to pop on and let you all know I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl at 12.30 on Friday! We haven't decided on a name yet but she is just perfect! After my waters breaking on the Thursday morning I started contractions at 6.30 pm and went in at 3am to be told I was 4cm! By 7 or 8 I was fully dilated with no pain relief just breathing but after pushing for 2 hours they discovered she was in the wrong position so I had an epidural and forceps birth. It turns out she was 9lb 4! No wonder I had trouble! They let us home yesterday and I am in a lot of discomfort with the stitches but luckily have my wonderful OH to help me. I hope to get back on soon to check on the other ladies who were overdue, and to anyone else who is past their date and feeling fed up - big hugs, it will be your turn soon xxxx
