I always imagined that by this stage in my pregnancy I would running around like a headless chicken but I am very strangely calm about it all. We literally have EVERYTHING we need and now it is just a case of waiting.

Today my friend and I are going through to East Kilbride to get some shopping. She is buying a baby gym mat for her 10 week old son and I am getting the very final item we need... the egg thermometer!

This has been the calmest I have been in the past 9 months and it feels lovely. I just wanted to share it with you all because for me to feel this calm and happy is a big deal for me. It is definately a milestone in my life with my history of severe depression and anxiety. :)

Yay well done you :cheer:

Also strangely, the egg thermometer was the first thing we bought the day after my BFP - I love knowing the temp in our room :D

congratulations on remaing calm. i hope you have a fab day with your friend.

Congratulations on being so calm and on buying your last item today! :cheer:

I LOVE my room thermometer!

Dave likes to use it when i say im cold, he points out the thermometer says too warm or jsut right! (i think its wrong!!)

I've also got a turtle bath thermometer, its AMAZING! (small things ey  ) It tells me the exact temp of the water and flashes a colour green for ok for baby!

I've also found i'm a little too calm about everything, i've got all she needs and more but i'm getting a bit fed up just waiting each day for her to make an appearence

It's a great feeeling having it all sorted, I love the egg- I move moine all around the flat just for fun!

Aw, that's great news - I've only just finished work so still feel as though there's lots to do but I reckon I'll feel the same as you in a week or two.

Where do you get the egg thermometers from and how much are they? x

I've asked for the egg for a present for baby from FIL.

They are in Mothercare for £21.99 or ebay for a little bit cheaper.

Thanks Hazel - are they worth it..? Seems quite expensive! x

I got my egg from Mothercare for £21.99 like Hazel said. My friend has highly reccommended it as the temperature is accurate and you can instantly tell the reading by the colour.

I have mine in the living room right now, it told us the temperature the second it was plugged in. I am happy with it.
