I am new in this forum. Please help me! I am 9weeks+2days now. I had serious cramping 2 days ago at night. I woke up with pain, but the next morning everything was all right, no bleeding at all. But one day after, it was yesterday, I saw some brown spot, very light and pink discharge. I went to see the doctor, and doctor said it could be normal. But today I found the discharge is more than yesterday even though it is still very little. Not sure if I should call doctor again, my first appointment with midwife is on Friday, and first scan will be next Wednesday. Should I just wait? Thanks for sharing my feeling, I am really worried!

It certainly isn't abnormal hun, if it will put your mind at rest then you could try calling the docs again but they will probably just tell you the same thing. I wonder if you phone your midwife if she will see you earlier? A lot of the girls on here have experienced very similar things to this x

Thanks so much Princess81! I feel much better after read your reply. I didn't realize many girls experienced the same. I just thought it's abnormal. Hope tomorrow I won't see the brown discharge again.

Hi Karen

Try phoning your midwife and see what they say - you may find the reply a bit more reassuring than what the doctor tells you.

If it puts your mind at rest, I went through a similar thing 2 weeks ago. I woke up bleeding slightly on Saturday, phoned the midwife and she told me to wear a pad and keep an eye on things, if i experience any pain or it gets heavier to call them back. It went that day but on the Sunday morning I woke up to bright red blood with a few clots (sorry if tmi!). I phoned again and they told me to go to the hospital to get checked out - I had a scan and everything was fine and there was my little baby with a strong heartbeat and moving about.

I was examined internally and the midwife did say that it wasn't a lot of blood I had - I guess I just panicked because I considered it more than 'spotting'. Mine went after a few days - although I did sneeze the other night and found it very painful.. the next day there was a small amount of blood but not sure if it was linked to the sneeze.

Try not to worry - I think what you're experiencing is perfectly normal, but do call your midwife for advice x

Just wanted to give you :hugs: - sounds like all is well from what the others have said :)

if you call them they will probably just tell you to wait it out. I was bleeding on and off for four weeks which started after i was 12 weeks. Everytime I called they just kept telling me to wait and if i got any clots or it got heavier to call them back. I know you aren't as far on as this but i just wanted to let you know that bleeding and brown discharge etc is more common than what people reliase and it doesn't always mean something bad. ( i had no idea this could happen. When it first started, i totally pooped my pants and instantly thought the worst) I did eventually get an appointment at the hospital and mine turned out to be my cervix of all things.

Hi, girls, thanks so much for sharing your experience and the warm hugs and words... I am still waiting for a scan on next Wednesday to confirm everything. Wish us all good luck! xx
