i am only young at the age of 21 but after trying for baby number 2 for 14 months now i need to do something before going to the doctors. I am getting very worried and i break down and cry every time the witch comes.
anything that can boost my chances?
any advice would be greatly appreciated

Thankyou in advance

Well as you all ready have a kid I think you have to wait 2 years before seeing the doc.
Other than that there's mention of angus catus and evening primrose oil that can help - threads around here somewhere.

Also start charting and using opks if you don't all ready as you could be missing the date you ovulate ;)

Are u definately having enough sex and having it at the right time? How are you confirming ovulation?

over the past 6months i have use opks and charting my temp.
For the past 6months that i have opk i have ovulated on day 19 of my cycle (i have 33day cycle) i have sex (or try to) once a day from cd15 untill cd21.
for the first part of trying we just hoped for the best and didnt think about it but now its starting to worry both of us.

You can go to the doctor from 12 months ttc, it's just 24 months for some treatments.

I'd just make sure you are having sperm friendly sex and go and speak to your GP just to get the ball rolling. It will probably just turn out to be a matter of time though xx

if your charting and opk-ing you should be fine. are your temps confirming ovulation along with the opks?

like lousie says, these things can take time. good luck

Yes temp is confirming ovulation.
I am just so fustrated now like I guess many of you lsdies are :-(
It doesnt seem fair sometimes, the one thing me and my OH want so much to complete our family and it its so hard to get it.
I never believed it would take this long and I am keeping all of you ladies in my preyers.

I'd pop along to the doctors and get the ball rolling.

I went after just under a year of trying and was seen and referred within 3 weeks (I had 3 appointments within that time with the GP, for bloods, semen tests etc)
I too thought it wouldnt take so long as I struck it luck first time with my son. I never thought I'd ever attend a fertility clinic.

Although you've said you know your cycle and are charting etc, I'd be bd-ing every other day throughout your cycle.
The clinic advised every other day and no less than 3 times a week.

Lots of luck and :dust: x

It truley is a look of the draw tho - it was 5 years of hell in Bristol before I was referred and referaal didn't do much.
Wasn't until moved near London that I was re-referred and sorted out in a year.

So if ANY of you ladies get offered help with just a year trying or asked if want to wait JUMP at the offer of help!
GL in what ever you decide to do.

As much as I want to go to the doctors to find out what/if something is wrong but I am kind of worried they will see my age and just tell im to young to worry about it yet. But this is my 14th cyclr no. We areboth desperate for baby number 2to complete our family. How is every one coping with ltttc? Xx

Go hun. I was 22 when we started trying - I'm 29 now (30 in 1 month) and still no baby.
If they say your too young - throw that in there face :p

As for coping with LTTTC? I'm not really, I just don't let it show to anyone but hubby.

:hugs: I cant imagen how hard that must be :-(
does it get harder or easier to cope?

hi
you can go and see your gp if you have been trying with no success for 12 months, they will do blood test to confirm ovulation and other basic checks.i was trying to concieve for 15 months after coming off depo provera injection the doctors did basic checks as my cycles were all over the place but because i already had a child with my husband they would not let me see a fertility specialist for another year well 2 months after getting told this i fell pregnant.i think i stressed my body out try and relax and BD every other day.

You have ups and downs!!
I'm on month 23 and fast approaching 2yr Mark and that's gona hurt x
I've started on clomid this month tho so fx it will be a happy anniversary x

Defo go to the Drs - they'll do cd3-5 bloods then 21 day bloods x

We have only really concentrated on it for the past 6cycle as before then we were it will happen when it happens (nievely of me thinking it wouldnt take 14+month) then I started to wory especially coming up to a year. may I ask what clomid is?
Also what happens if the confirm ov? Will they send u on ur way and tell u to keep trying for another so months?

if you are ovulating normally and all your bloods are okay they should send you for a scan of your ovaries and uterus to see if you have any cysts or blockages if that is fine as with me it was they should send your partner for a sprem analysis :)

Clomid is a drug that helps ovulation as bloods have shown I'm not ovulating properly xx

If you've only been checking for 6mnths I'd say don't worry if actively trying for a yr I would then go to gp x
