Sorry, did I not mention - I actually got the results the same day as I made such a fuss (sobbing on the couch, throwing up.. etc etc - seriously I am such a wuss!! 
) well, the nurses felt so sorry for me that they told me there and then that what they could see was all pretty clear but the real confirmation would come in the follow up appointment - which was 2 weeks later. And all clear (except a slightly smaller tube on the left) but the dye went through all fine.
And if anyone is panicking reading this, honestly I am rubbish with even the smallest amount of pain so for all you average ladies out there a HSG is perfectly bearable!
Am guessing your HSG will happen really quickly after your appointment - fingers crossed and keep me informed.
