Anyone decided on the birth they want? i've booked onto a hypnobirthing course as guess anything is worth a try!!! i've heard they are great! x

I don't know so can't help...but there's a member called hypnomum, maybe she'd tell you more. I've got to have c section :|

at least you know your birth plan!!

most people's birth plans never go to plan, but i sure can try and make one!

just followed the link and emailed a woman (im guessing) from my area to start a class whenever she thinks appropriate!! omg how brill would this be lol..:D

I am going to do hypnobirthing course! I really hope it will help me relax about pain and make my experience better. Annem, when is your due day?

just had email from the hypnobirthing woman.. shes keen for me to start classes, one-one at her home with alex.. :) just asked ehr how much it is.. comes with a book and cd.. so im guessing tis gonna be a fair bit.. 5 1 1/2 hour lessons.. and home work lol..

You need to do a fair bit of homework but it is soooooooooooo worth it. Really helps you to bond with the baby before he/she arrives too. x

so the 5 hypnobirthing sessions come to 200 quid! what do u think on that???

i'm due on the 15th of jan. its good to hear others are giving it a try!! it does sound amazing from what i've heard, where are you going for yours? i'm going with www.hypnoclinic.net x

that actually sounds pretty good - i was looking into it london ones, and quite a few seemed to be £250+ just for 2 sessions...

its all still a bit out of my price range though... are there any good cd's / dvd's / books that people could recommend?

i think thats a good price. They can go up to £500. I got a subutised place as i'm newly self-employed and been off work till now with non-stop sickness. The bigger companies will pay a bit towards it if you are not working.

i live in port talbot.. a lot of people here are on benifits.. so im guessing thats why it would be cheaper.. i suppose if the demand is there then u can put the price up.. i wouldnt imagine there being much demand for it here.. ive said if i am to go for it i will wait till im about 25 weeks.. which gives us about 2 months to decide

I bought a hypnobirthing CD and listened to it a few times a week from around 32 weeks...I always fell aslepp half way through as it was so relaxing but they say it work even if you sleep...

I was TERRIFIED of birth, seriously I would have panic attacks, crying all the time etc...

I dont know if the CD worked but I was so calm when I went in @ 11 days overdue to be induced, he midwives commented on how well I coped. My induction failed and I had a planned C section, and it was wonderful, I was so calm and relaxed over the 2 days from induction to birth...OH was so proud of me and to be honest, I was amazed at how well I handled the whole thing. I still cant believe I did it!!! I have the CD still and willing to copy it for anyone who wants to try, just PM me? xxxxx
