Is there anyway of bringing your cycle forward a day or two

I have very regular periods and they tend to follow the same pattern. I have worked out that if I continue this way I will be due on the Wednesday before my wedding.... unfortunately how my periods tend to be, I have two very light days and the two heavier days before having a couple of lighter spotting days again.

This would mean my wedding would fall on one of the heavy days.

Is there anyway I could bring my cycle forward a day or two.... someone has suggested having sex the day before I'm due on, if I did this and it worked... would that mean I would then probably come on a day earlier the following month as well, or would I just end up having a longer cycle the following month?

I don't want to take anything from the doctor to stop my period coming on my wedding day as we want to start trying for a baby while on honeymoon. But obviously having a heavy flow will be a pain on the wedding day as I'll be having issues enough going to the toilet with my dress never mind having to faff about with tampons or pads. Also it would be nice if we feel up to it to be able to DTD on our wedding night.

Another thing my fiancé has suggested is trying to have sex on one of the lighter days to see if it brings my period on a bit quicker, as when we've had sex just after my period if I'm still on one of my spotting days (sometimes we think I've stopped) then it brings on a bit more blood. So his thinking is if we do it when I just come on, it may encourage the heavier bleeding those earlier days rather then later on.

Sorry for TMI

Sex won't stop or bring on your period unfortunately. The only real way to ensure you're not bleeding on your wedding day is to go to the Dr and get some norethisterone.

I've heard taking progesterone can sometimes delay or bring it on but I don't really know how that works and honestly I wouldn't do anything that would risk messing up your cycles like that especially as you currently have very regular and healthy cycles.

I see by your ticker that your wedding is 6 months away. I would go to the doctors and get norithisterone a few months before and delay your period for that cycle for by however long you feel to change the due date of your period (hope that makes sense) I did this once for a holiday as I didn't want to take the pills whilst away and it worked perfectly. I don't think there is any other way of bringing it forward xx

That's actually a really good idea... I didn't think of that and now feel really silly.

I just thought I can't have that as it will mess my cycles up. I'll just have to have a think if I can work it out so I'm due when I want to be, as at the moment I will be fertile on honeymoon-which is when we want to start trying.

So need to decide if it is worth taking it and risking completely changing when my cycle ends up...

I have ordered a menstrual cup as a last resort... as if I can figure out how to use that it will mean I don't have to worry about changing pads or tampons in my dress, as I could put it in just before putting my dress on and it shouldn't need changing until we go to bed. But it depends if I can get on with them or not.

What's really annoying is it's looking like my wedding day will fall on the day in my cycle where I tend to be heavy during the day and then a lot lighter towards the evening, if it came just one day earlier I'd be fine.
