Is there any way to puree foods without using a food processor? I gave Lizzie some cooked pear today that I tried to mash with a fork but it didn't work very well!

I either use a blender or potato masher depending on if I want lumps or not!!

if u mash it with a potatoe masher then push it through a seive u can make it lump free or in one of our baby shops you could get a hand held pureer looked like a big garlic crusher x

you can get a mini blender from tesco for 15 pound x

yes that would do the job but i ment a manual one but dont know the name x

i got a asda 'smart price' blender today for £4.13 ! x

Something like this? http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Produ...n+appliances+/+blenders+and+smoothie+makers+/

For some reason I always thought blenders were well expensive!

I got one like that fork £9.99 in the year 1999 when I had my first baby, and it's now in action for my last baby Devon!! lasted soo well. Might beworth making sure it's one that comes with a beaker, jug thing made of plastic which is great for containing the puree while blending, as you will use smaller quantities.

There is the Wean Machine, but it's quite expensive for what it is, about £20 I think, not sure if it's what you'd be after though as it only lets you prepare 1 meal at a time I think.
