is there anything i can do to prepare for a homebirth/waterbirth ... I know i have a while to go but would love to know if there is anything i can so to make sure me and the house are prepared for the big event xx

Lots of towels  I don't know how many we went thru! And cheap shower curtains, so you can pop them down! My homebirth was an impromptu one, so had none of the planning, but I'd say keep a selection of clothes/pads/everything else somewhere specific and also in a hospital bag, so things are easily accessible! And invest in a torch, my mw didn't bring one with her and used ours to get a better look at what had gone on!

As above really. Lots of towels, two buckets (one is for the placenta and the other is for rubbish), a cheap shower curtain. Have a small hospital bag packed for the off chance you might be transferred. Maybe a sign for your front door so when you're in labour you don't get any unwanted visitors or loud doorbells. :)
