How soon will a test be negative?

Finally got BFP Friday (26th)was 13dpo.
Felt fine over the weekend. But the FRER were still really faint.
Then started with spotting yesterday, brown , then started pink. so assumed the worst, and just devastated.
Today - Tuesday - red blood , and some low down pain. Not my usual heavy period, but enough For me to know there’s no hope left
I took a test today hoping it would be negative but it’s darker?
I just want some closure and to start fresh now. I assumed as my levels weren’t even past 20 on Saturday, that it would drop fairly quickly being so early. So the darker test has thrown me.

Have you been able to ring your dr? It doesn’t sound great, and I don’t want to give you false hope….but I have heard of a few people having a surprise happy ending. If you could get a definitive beta and see if the numbers are doubling, that would be super helpful. Keep us posted. I’ll be checking in just to see how you are!

I just wondered when the test would be negative, I thought it might have only taken a few days if it didn’t even get very high to begin with. Anyway, it’s just a waiting game now I guess. I could try ring the doctors but I don’t think they’d do anything at this stage, I am off work today so going to rest and then test and see what it says. If it’s negative then at least it will be some closure.
I think I’m just emotional and probably trying to make sense of it all.

You should definitely ring your doctors and request bloods. Is the bleeding heavy? And painful? You may not get a negative test for a few days. Sending hugs xx

Thankyou. Yea it’s been heavy ish. No clots or anything. Just got bit of stomach ache and bloat. My boobs are still so sore. So cruel when you still have symptoms but are losing the pregnancy. x x

Cheap tests have darker lines than I’ve ever had, (which is false I know) but the digital that originally said pregnant (only 5 days ago ) now says not pregnant. So there’s my negative result.
Anyway, on to the next cycle. As always x x

I'm so sorry hun, it's tough... Hope you have a good support system around you.
After everything is evacuated, it will take about 4 to 6 weeks to start a new cycle. I was advised to wait for a new cycle before trying again, but this was because they would have an easier time dating the new pregnancy.

It took me 11 weeks to get a new cycle again. But this was because I was further along, needed an d&c and there was still some residu left behind and it only came out 11 weeks after the procedure.
I had an early ovulation, on day 11. So make sure you cover the days leading up to O.
