How soon are you telling people?

Hey everyone!

As the title says, how soon are you announcing your little bundle?

I told immediate family as soon as I got my BFP but didn't go 'public' until after the 12w scan.
This time around however, I'm unsure how to handle it, DD is 6 now and is a very happy and bouncy child, but with that comes a lot of rough-housing!

I'm finding it so hard to keep it from her, and I'm worried she thinks I just don't want to play or something. If she knew I was pregnant she'd be both ecstatic and extremely understanding.

I had a MMC under different circumstances and it never stopped me being completely on edge my entire pregnancy; and again now.

I have told two very close friends, because I have seen them for drinks, and haven't been drinking! We will tell my immediate family once we have had our early scan next week (if all is well). Won't be telling anyone else until 12 week scan...prob including our 4 year old....as he is a right chatterbox and would just tell everyone!

I told my immediate circle of friends /family straight away
I have had several mc including a mmc in tri2 so I wanted to have a support network
I went totally public after the 12 week scan
I also told work at about 5 weeks as a heads up for my stress and anxiety over the first tri and also so I could have the time for private scans they were really great about it all with me

Told my parents, sister and best friend instantly. Told hubby's parents after the 7 week scan. Told my boss at 8 weeks because I was too sick to function... Haven't told anyone else yet (11+2 today) but don't really want to wait another week as I look obviously pregnant now lol. Tossing up between announcing today or next week.

I told my sister and her husband (who is my husnand’s brother!) at 7 weeks - no one else yet. I was planning on waiting until 12-13 weeks to tell anyone else but at 8+5 I am already freaking huge and can’t comfortably hide my belly much longer. We have a midwife appointment at 10+2 and if we hear a heartbeat we will be sharing the news from that day onwards because I can not keep sucking in this crazy belly. We will tell the kids first and I’m sure the news will spread like wildfire as soon as we do that.

We plan to tell our family after we find out once the reveil is done I want a picture for them to keep then we won't be telling anyone else till we hit 12 weeks

Me and my partner told are immediate friends and family the week we found out. Everyone else will find out once we have had our 12 week scan.

Told husband's family at 7+2, my family after the first scan at 10+6, then work at 11+1. Only reason my family was told later was because I knew some would end up sharing the news with others, and I didn't want to deal with that should something go wrong. Although had I had a MMC before I may have been more inclined to tell close family and friends earlier.

I would be inclined to tell your daughter. At least it will take that bit of the worry away from you. x

This is our second, we only found out today ourselves so we are going to wait until our 12 week scan has been done as my brother and wife are due their baby this month so don't want to take anything away from them so it'll give a few weeks of everyone being excited over the newborn before we announce.

I will tell my work if I need to before the scan but won't tell them just because.

She was so happy she cried, and we saw our family shortly after and she didn't say a word!
She's good at keeping secrets.
We have a family get together on Thursday so I've told her she can make the announcement then!
Will go public after 12 weeks

I told hubby and my mom right away. Then we told the family a week after I found out. I told work too because they knew I was trying and kept asking me every month if I was pregnant or not.

I plan to tell social media in the second trimester. I have a cute reveal picture planned

Im almost 10 weeks. I've told family and work so far but friends will start guessing soon as i have a very obvious baby tummy. Wont announce until I've had 12 week scan xx

I'm 12+5 and I've only told a couple of close friends, I hate being in the spotlight so I don't know how to tell people, and I'm worried about people's reactions because there will only be 14 months between the youngest two.

Ahh don't worry what anyone else thinks. When I had DD I was in a group and one of the ladies gave birth 6 weeks early and was pregnant with her second before I gave birth to DD. No one judged her, though I did tell her how brave she was haha
