Do I need to put in bottle for LO? Want to start him on bottles so that I can be freed up slightly (need to get hair cut and don't to subject him to fumes from hair colours) and so that DH can give him some feeds as well.

Any advice very welcome :)

I can't see how old your LO is, but I'd try to leave a couple of bottles.

When I first left G at 4weeks I left 3oz per bottle, (now at 6oz) but she sometimes drinks two in a row. It can be a comfort thing when they are used to bf.

Jack is just 4 weeks. Have been trying to store 3oz at a time. Trying to get small back up supply in freezer. Not something I'll b giving him every day but good if wanna go out somewhere and he'll have to get used to bottle before I try that one.

Thanks for ur reply :)

IMO its better to start the bottle sooner, there's a lot of girls on here who's LOs refuse them. So u might be better trying him with an ounce or so when you have it.

Mother 2 mother web site (sorry can't remember link) has loads of great info on storage so it doesn't get wasted.

DH gave him 1st bottle tonight. He took 41/2 oz. Now at least i know he'll take a bottle if I need him to.

That's great. Try to make it a kind of regular ish thing though, I think I read every 3ish days (don't quote me though) so he stays used to it iykwim.

Awesome but ^^wss I didn't give t bag a bottle for a while and she forgot how to do it.

i try to give a bottle of expressed milk once a week and seems to work as hes not had any issues so far

as for the amount of milk, harry used to take 3oz per feed but that was when he was feeding 10 times a day now he has 6 feeds a day and will take 6oz, i think its to do with how often hes feeding, little and often when they are small.

I would leave plenty just incase though.
