How many times?

How many times a week are you all doing the BD?

Usually i only get weekends as an opportunity but DH isn't working for the next few weeks and I want to do it every night / morning. I think he's starting to feel the strain of it

I'm due to ovulate at the back end of next week according to the app i use on my phone. SO am I doing the right thing????

i wouldn't do that because it will be straining and also will dilute the sperm a lot, it is only really neccesarely. close to ov and a day or two days after because the other time you cannot be fertile to begin with so that's jus a waste (considering you are having intercourse for a baby and not just for fun obviously).

I think I read somewhere it takes 24hr+ for new sperm to be created so best to have sex every other day through fertile days. Too much dilutes and too little means not enough fresh swimmers!

Are you plannig to have sex every night and morning (or was it every night or morning? )

Either way it sound exhausting!

Also if your OH is already feeling the strain he'll be 'useless' by the time you do actually ovulate

Have sex as normal, don't force it too much... Every other day around ovualtion should be fine!

The cycle OH and I dtd 7 days on the trot was a BFN by the way

OH and I dtd 7 nights in a row a few cycles back and by night 5 we were fed up - it was more of a chore than a pleasure!!

I would give him a break....and bd everyother night leading to ov....my dh is the same way, he needs time to recoop. BTW it strains us aswell..my big O was a no show this week.....

As my Partner is an electrician he works away mon-fri most of the time. When we were ttc we dtd Friday and Sunday nights. If he did have a nearby job we would also do it wednesday nights. We managed a BFP on our 3rd cycle. I didn't use opks as it would make me freak out if I ov'ed mid week

I have read a lot of info that says every day (as long as 24 hours apart) is fine unless there is a sperm count issue, we BD'd every day over the fertile days, I think it was 6 days in all as I ov'd a day late. I made sure it was enjoyable and that it didnt just feel like baby-making. I think that is what made the difference this month...more more excitied the man is, the more sperm they release.
Every other day seems to be fine aswell though as loads of ladies get preggers from SMEP. If your OH is feeling the strain then mayble every other day leading to Ov is better...loads of luck to you, hope theres a BFP waiting for you xx
