How many oz in 24 hours?

Hi girls, just wondering how many oz your LO's drink in a 24 hour period? I've just read that it should be around 2.5oz of milk per lb of body weight. I've weighed abi (on our digital bathroom scales - not sure how accurate it is but must be fairly close) It said abi was 10lb 3oz so she should be having 25 oz of milk a day or there abouts. I've been keeping a diary to try work out her routine and she only has around 18oz a day and wont take anymore. Just dont want to be underfeeding her xx

Hunny averages count for very little with babies in reality, just like the feeding amounts on the tins. If you were bf you would have no idea how much she was taking so wouldn't worry about it. She will ask for more when she is ready for it, when she drains bottles regularly up it an ounce and see how she goes xxxxxxx

I agree with Baby Brain she will show signals for more when she's ready, just go by her xx

My HV told me this too, as she accused me of over feeding E as she has moved up the percentiles. According to the 2.5oz rule E should be on about 38 oz a day, so I kept a diary and it's more like 30-32 a day. So the HV can get stuffed!!!

i just go with wat keira wants we have 5oz every 4 hrs sometimes 5 hrs xx

I've kept a diary aswell because her weight today means she has dropped down on the centile chart and we have her 6 week check next week so expecting them to ask why. Thanks for the advice girls, i know i cant force feed her and will just do what she wants xx
