How many naps for a 10 month old?

Darragh always went for two naps - 10 and 2 usually for about an hour but suddenly he lies awake for ages half crying half babbling and I go in a put him lying down and give him his soother back every few mins and sometimes he nods off sometimes he doesnt - he does seem tired though before I put him down - Im just wondering is it time for him to move to just one nap a day?? And if only one nap do you usually have before or after lunch?

We're going through that stage.... sometimes 1 kip is ok... other times she has her one kip at the usual time but come 5pm shes flagging, grumpy and moody and needs another...then she won't sleep at night.

She was fine with just one when I am around, but MIL has been caring for her and she back having two for some reason and its just an absolute nightmare..

O no the dreaded one kip is not enough and 2 is too many stage haha .. sometimes they will just have the one and things will be ok ..sometimes they have 2 and it will be ok ...sometimes they will go later for the first kip and not manage to stay awake long enough for bedtime making a super late kip which results in an extremely late bedtime

Some babies drop from 2-1 fine.. some just find the transition is slow and painful for the parents mehehe. I tend not to interfere they do work it out for themselves with the odd nudge here and there. 10 months old are capable of 1 or even no kips yet some arnt .. I hope he drops it to one with ease. x

Im also having the same problem with my LO, hes in the imbetween stage and hes also gone from the easy going bedtime boy to a naughty monkey!! naptimes and bedtimes used to be soooo easy and laidback with no problems, no im pulling my hair out. hope its just a phase.
