How long to wait after erpc to try again?

Hi everyone,

I had an erpc after a missed miscarriage at ten weeks yesterday. The doctors said everything went well and it shouldn't take too long to get back to normal. I asked thus question a few times to different people at the epu when I found out about my miscarriage and yesterday when I had the surgery and every time I got a different answer!

How long do you wait before trying again?

A nurse told me it was best to wait until I have three periods before trying again but then a doctor yesterday said there's no reason why I can't start trying straight away as soon as I feel ready.

Does anyone have any experience of this situation and would be able to help? Any success stories after an erpc?

Hey jcox,

I had a D&C on Sunday, my second. After first one we started trying again straight away but it took 3 cycles before I fell again. As long as you physically and mentally feel ok then go for it. Maybe best to keep track of ovulation for dating though.

I've been a bit sore the past few days but once that eases off I'll be trying again straight away xxx

I had a mmc in June 2011, erpc aug 2011. Started trying again straight away and caught after my first af. I say start trying again when you feel ready too, so sorry for your loss xx
