How long after stopping BF did you conceive?

Hi there,
I stopped breastfeeding Ewan when he was about 8 months, and we have been actively trying for No.2 from then, but no luck yet, i can still get milk if i squeeze and i was wondering if that could be hindering things.
I'm probably just being impatient! as its only 5 months....
I'm on day 30 in my cycle at the moment - my cycles vary from 21 days to 40 generally around the longer length.
We have been bd every other day since AF stopped (gets very taxing) i have no idea when i ovulate but when i did chart my mucuc and ovulation didn't quite tie in, i would be getting my fertile mucus just after or just before ovulation which the Nurse said could cause problems.

i', going to leave it to day 40 before testing as i can guarantee that the day after i test i always start AF...

fingers crossed for this month really dont want another august babe if possible

Oh good luck hun. I was curious about this too as im still breastfeeding and i think its stopping me from conceiving.

i know what you mean about not wanting another august baby all 3 of mine are august and i say every time the same it seems i can only carry then tho lol how bizarre!! fingers crossed for this month

I ve just stopped breastfeeding to ttc aswell. i was still feeding dd2 at night times but still not had a period since came off mini pill 8th aug. Dr told me to stop bf as was going to be hard to conceive, only stopped last sat so still early days for me yet, plus still waiting on the withch to come.
