how long after medical and sugrical mc can I have sex

Hi there. I had tw failed medical miscarriages and then a d and c last week to treat a missed miscarriage at 9 1/2 weeks.I wondered if anyone had any idea how long I should wait before having sex?

i would say as soon as you feel up to it

maybe ask a midwife to be sure though

when I had my M/C and then D&C the doctor told us to not have sex until I had had at least one 'normal' period. I think this was to prevent the risk of infection and also check that everything had gone 'back into place' ok.

I waited until i was sure the bleeding had stopped and i felt ready. (2-3weeks)... But get advice from you MW to be sure.....

I've been given the same advice as tuck said - no sex until after my first period following the d&c.

I was advised after all mine to wait until your 1st cycle to prevent any complications continuing (I had massive infection after my 1st) but I wasn't emotionally ready for bout 2 months after my twins
